How do I join a meeting?


You can join Cisco WebEx meetings using one of the following methods:

  • Go to your Cisco WebEx meeting invitation email and click the "To join this meeting" link.
  • Launch the Cisco WebEx Meetings app on your Cisco Cius device and enter the meeting number.
  • Sign in to your Cisco WebEx account on your device and join from your "My Meetings" screen.
  • Tap the meeting URL in your calendar.
  • View your upcoming meetings on the Cisco WebEx widget, giving you instant access directly from your Cisco Cius home screen.

How do I join the audio portion of the meeting?


Once you enter your meeting, an audio prompt will pop up. If you would like to be called back on your Cisco Cius, select your phone number from the drop-down menu. If this is the first time you have used Cisco WebEx Meetings for Cisco Cius, you may need to enter a call-back number, if it is not prefilled. Select the option to "Call me at a New Number". Enter your phone number and select "Call Me at This Number". You will receive a call to join the meeting; answer the call. The Cisco WebEx app will then be relaunched, taking you into the meeting. This feature is not available in all regions. If the call-back feature is disabled, you will be prompted to call in to the audio portion of the meeting instead.


To call in to a meeting, select the "Call This Number" button. You will automatically dial in to the meeting. Automatic dial-in does not work in all regions. If this feature is disabled, you will need to enter the meeting number and attendee ID manually, which can be found by selecting the 'I' symbol or accessing the information in your meeting invitation.


Is it free to attend a meeting?


Yes, Cisco WebEx Meetings for Cisco Cius is preinstalled on the device. You can attend any Cisco WebEx meetings that you've been invited to join. To host a meeting, a Cisco WebEx Meeting Centre subscription is required.


Can I schedule or start a WebEx meeting?


As a host, you can easily schedule, start and invite others to your Cisco WebEx meetings from your device. From the "My Meetings" screen, press the 'Schedule Meeting' button at the bottom of the Meeting Pane, which redirects you to the Calendar app, where you can enter your meeting title, meeting password (optional) and any invitees' email addresses. Choose to start the meeting immediately by clicking 'Instant Meeting'.


To start a scheduled meeting, select the meeting from "My Meetings", then select 'Start'.


Can I invite people to my meeting from the Cisco WebEx app?


Yes, with the Cisco WebEx app's host capabilities you can invite people to your meeting from "My Meetings" or via the Participant List after joining your meeting.


Where can I find additional meeting information?


  • Access meeting details from "My Meetings" for meetings that you are hosting and meetings that you are invited to attend. Select the meeting to see more details.
  • Once in the meeting, you can easily access meeting information:
    • See who is in your meeting by tapping the "Participants" icon at the top right of your screen. You can see how participants have joined the meeting with mobile and computer user icons.
    • To view meeting information, tap the icon with an "i" symbol at the lower right of the screen. Tap the "i" symbol again or tap elsewhere on the screen when ready to return to the presentation screen.

Can I share or view video from my Cisco Cius device?


No, currently this is not a feature available for Cisco Cius devices.


How can I chat with other participants?


Tap the participant icon at the upper right of the screen. From the list, you can choose one individual or all participants to chat with. For individual chat, select the participant with whom you want to chat, then enter your message in the dialogue box and hit send. Tap the "Chat with Everyone" button at the bottom of the screen to chat with all attendees, then enter your message in the dialogue box and hit send.


To transition back and forth between the presentation and chat, tap the 'x' button at the top right of the chat window to be returned to the presentation.


Can I present content from my Cisco Cius device?


This feature is not supported with this release of Cisco WebEx Meetings for Cisco Cius. You can, however, view content shared from others' computers. In addition, if you are the meeting host, you can pass presenter control to a computer user to share content.


How do I pass presenter control?


From the participant list, tap and hold the Cisco WebEx ball and drag and drop it to the new presenter.


I have a Cisco WebEx host account. Is my WebEx site compatible with Cisco Cius?


Cisco WebEx release version T27LBSP21 or higher is required. Certain restrictions may apply, based on your company's policies and WebEx implementation. To find out the release version, log in to your WebEx site, then click "Meeting Centre." In the left-hand navigation bar, click "User Guides" under the Support link. You'll see the WebEx version in the top right-hand corner. Look for "Client Build." The first number should be 27, followed by a dot, and a second number that is 21 or higher.


What can I do if I get a message that the Cisco WebEx site does not support joining from mobile devices?


If the site that you are trying to join the meeting on is your company site, contact your Cisco WebEx IT administrator to determine whether mobile access can be enabled. In the meantime, please join the meeting from a computer.


Does Cisco Webex Meetings for Cisco Cius support single sign-on (SSO)?


Yes, just launch the application, tap 'Sign-in' and then tap the 'Sign in using corporate single sign-on' link.


Your Cisco WebEx site must be configured for SSO and at least T27LBFR23.


I am not a Cisco WebEx customer. How can I try out the scheduling and other host features of WebEx Meetings?

Is Cisco WebEx Meetings for Cisco Cius available globally?


Yes, this application works wherever Cisco Cius devices are supported.


What languages are supported?


Cisco WebEx Meetings for Cisco Cius is available in English, Chinese Simplified Chinese Traditional, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian and Dutch. All other device languages will default to English.
